Come uptown to the Conrad & Hinkle Square and see if Lexington’s GroundHawg, Miss Charlottet, predicts if Spring is on the way. Click for more information.

3rd Annual BBQ Capital Cook-off presented by Bank of the Carolinas
In a town known world-wide for it's heritage of slow cooking meat over hickory wood, it is no wonder that we would have a KCBS santioned cook-off. If you love great barbecue, wine, and music, you’ll want to be in Lexington for our 3rd Annual BBQ cook-off.  Sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS), the 2011 and 2012 event brought over 50 teams and judges from across the United States.  Barbecue vendors will enable you to taste a wide variety of types of barbecue.  Other activities include the Southern Gateway Wine Festival, four bands, kids activities and much more! No admission! Summer Stroll & Cruise In
Come "Meet Us on Main Street" for the first stroll of the season. Activities on the square include classic cars on display in all four quadrants.  In the monument square you’ll find Miss Charlotte, uptown's mascot; art activities with Arts United for Davidson County, and Cruise In registration.  In the Conrad & Hinkle square, come enjoy the top 40 and beach sounds of Lexington's Greg and the BBQ Band. Many merchants will be open until 8 pm. Outdoor activities may be impacted by rain or storms; however, merchants will be open!

June 14

Summer Stroll
"Meet Us on Main Street" for the second stroll of the season. Activities on the square include Miss Charlotte, uptown's mascot and art activities with Arts United for Davidson County. In the Conrad & Hinkle square Chloe Everhart and the Sulkes Band will be playing. Many merchants will be open until 8 pm. Outdoor activities may be impacted by rain or storms; however, merchants will be open!

Summer Stroll
"Meet Us on Main Street" for the third stroll of the season. In the Conrad & Hinkle square the bluesy sound of Big Daddy MoJo await you. Voted the Best Cover Band by Yes! Weekly in 2011 and 2012, this group hails from the Greensboro area.  In the monument square you’ll find Miss Charlotte, uptown's mascot and art activities with Arts United for Davidson County. Many merchants will be open until 8 pm. Outdoor activities may be impacted by rain or storms; however, merchants will be open!
August 2

It’s a Sales Tax Free Weekend!   "Meet Us on Main Street" for the last stroll of the season. In the Conrad & Hinkle Square, Denton's own Oak Tree Boys will share the county & blue grass sounds that attendees at the Denton Square Dance enjoy each month. Activities on the square include classic cars on display in all four quadrants. In the monument square you’ll find Miss Charlotte, uptown's mascot; art activities with Arts United for Davidson County, and Cruise In registration. Many merchants will be open until 8 pm. Outdoor activities may be impacted by rain or storms; however, merchants will be open!

6th Annual Light That Tree Spectacular
On Saturday evening, join us for the Annual Lighting of the uptown Lexington Trees.  Watch as uptown is illuminated with over 20,000 lights!  Click here for all the details

20th Annual Uptown Lexington Christmas Open House

NC Criterium Championships
Cycling returns to the streets of uptown Lexington! Coordinated by Piedmont Charity Sports Promotions, cyclists from across the southeast will converge on uptown to compete for the title of North Carolina Criterium Champion. Come watch racers of all abilities and ages fly through uptown!

National Night Out
Coordinated by the Lexington Police Department there are exhibits by police, fire and safety units throughout Davidson County live performances by area musicians, games for kids, information booths set up by community organizations and even free hotdogs and drinks while supplies last.  Contact the Lexington Police Department at 336-243-3303 for more information.

30th Annual Lexington Barbecue Festival
